Voodoo Combat is a Veteran owned Muay Thai gym offering coaching for all levels of experience. Our beginners class focuses on teaching students the fundamentals of Muay Thai striking while improving our members fitness, giving them the confidence to take their Muay Thai journey to the next level.
Our head coach Paul Warren brings over 30 fights worth of experience to our fighters class. Paul's experience in both the military and in combat sports will help you physically and mentally prepare for competing at the highest level.
Ryan's background specialises in strength and conditioning, recovery and mobility training, and has a passion for Muay Thai coaching and pad holding. Ryan's experience in the military brings a unique style of training. Focusing on students being physically and mentally prepared to step into the ring when they are ready to compete.

Meet Ryan
Ryan is the founder and head coach of Voodoo Combat. With nearly 8 years of martial arts experience and 15 years of military service, Ryan brings a disciplined, results-driven approach to training that prioritises individual skill development, strength and conditioning, and mental resilience.
Voodoo Combat was started with the vision of providing an all-inclusive training environment for members of all experience levels, from complete beginners to experienced athletes looking to sharpen their skills and pursue competition.
With over 200 fights of experience since opening its doors and multiple state titles won along the way, Voodoo Combat has the proven experience to get you where you need to be.
Ryan’s military background has strongly shaped his coaching philosophy. His training systems are designed to prepare fighters both physically and mentally, helping members overcome the mental and physical hurdles required to become truly “War Ready” before stepping into the ring for competition.

Meet Kay
Kay has been involved in martial arts for the past five years, competing in almost ten BJJ tournaments and winning several gold medals.
She has previous experience teaching juniors BJJ and MMA before switching to Muay Thai full-time.
Kay now competes in Muay Thai full-time and is one of our full-time junior coaches.

Meet Marcus
Marcus has been competing in Muay Thai for the last 4 years.
He currently has an undefeated record of 8-0 and is the current featherweight Destiny champion.
Marcus is our current head coach for our teens class and helps run our all-levels classes.
Marcus is a very technical fighter with a great attitude and work ethic that has been amazing for our teens to look up to.

Meet Matthew
Matthew brings a wealth of experience across MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling and kickboxing, with over a decade of training and competition experience. Having trained since 2012, Matthew has developed a well-rounded skill set and a deep understanding of grappling and mixed martial arts.
Matthew is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt and an undefeated professional MMA fighter with a record of 3 - 0. Throughout his career he has earned Fight of the Night awards with Eternal MMA and AfterShock MMA, showcasing both his technical ability and exciting fighting style.
Matthew has been coaching since 2016 and is passionate about helping students develop strong fundamentals, technical awareness and confidence on the mats.
